A dense beige/mocha head swirls around its opaque black robe. The chocolate and nut flavours intermingle with those of coffee and roasted grain. Finally, an herbaceous finish on the palate. All the elements are together – only the alcohol seems to have disappeared.
ABV: < 0.5%
We liked the taste of this stout, but there is a bit of an aftertaste that we couldn’t quite figure out. It wasn’t unpleasant but it didn’t seem to work well with the initial flavour of the stout. Would drink it again but much preferred the one for the road stout.
I’ve tried the Trou Noir a few times and so far it’s my favourite stout! I was giving up on stouts until I tried this one!
A perfect stout - full and rich while not heavy. This will be a "go to" in my fridge for the winter.
Among the many stouts I’ve tried, this is perhaps my favourite! As the name suggests, this beer is very dark. It tastes like chocolate and nuts. The finish is pleasant. What’s also a plus is that this big can only has 45 calories. Tough to find anything wrong with this beer.
This stout is outstanding. I’ve only just started with the low to no alcohol. This stout covers all the bases that ought to be covered. Looking forward to trying more from this brewery since they did such a great job with this.
