Ok so here we go. Belgians are tough to do in any form (speaking as a home brewer) but trying to make it NA is a real challenge. So this beer has a lot to recommend it: Great mouthfeel, sticky tight head that hangs around, beautiful clarity. All tough to get for NA and lovely in presentation. However,the nose is a bit too banana, and the taste lacks a some complexity, It’s definitely quaffable if banana is what you like. But still, I have never had an NA beer that feels so much like an alcoholic one. And if you know Tripels: a well done tripel lacks the solventy burn of alcohol, so if you have a great triple it doesn’t burn. Again, this means this beer is very close to style. The banana, though, is a bit much. I think quaffable, but maybe add some cloves or nutmeg for something a little more complex in the nose.
